There is telephone access to a receptionist from 8:00am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. We offer telephone triage with a clinician, video consultations and face to face appointments if and when required. When we are closed you can call 111 for advice and guidance.

We can also book appointments with neighbouring practices at the weekends, please ask reception about the Weekend Plus appointments available via remote booking.

Our Primary Care Network (PCN) Enhanced Access Service offers pre-bookable only appointments during extended hours to provide greater flexibility for patients who may find it difficult to attend during normal surgery hours.

These appointments are held at Queensway Surgery and are available at the following times:

🕕 Monday to Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
🕘 Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Please note: These appointments are pre-bookable only and are not available for walk-ins.

To book an appointment, please contact your registered GP practice, who will be able to arrange a suitable slot for you.

Enhanced Access is designed to ensure patients across our PCN have better access to GP, nurse, and other healthcare professional appointments at convenient times.

If you require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery is open please dial 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
