Introducing Our New Online GP System

Queensway Surgery will be launching our new online GP system (SystmConnect) on Friday, 30th October 2026. The change follows patient feedback and a review of our digital services, helping to provide a simpler, more reliable way for patients to contact the practice and access support online.

We have taken the decision to move from Anima to SystmConnect as we know that being able to contact your GP practice quickly and easily is important, and this change is part of our ongoing commitment to improving access to our services.

We listened to your feedback

Over recent months, we have received valuable feedback about our online services and carefully reviewed how patients interact with the practice digitally.

Patient feedback played an important role in this decision. We heard concerns about the previous system and considered how we could make the process simpler, more reliable, and easier to use. After reviewing the available options, we believe SystmConnect provides a better experience for patients while also helping our teams manage requests more effectively.

Your feedback helps shape the services we provide, and we would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their experiences with us.

What can you use our new online GP system for?

The GP system can be used to:

  • Contact the practice online
  • Submit medical requests
  • Make administrative enquiries
  • Request fit notes and other non-urgent services
  • Access a range of online support options

The service is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm during our normal opening hours.

Improving the patient journey

The new online system (SystmConnect) offers improved integration with other systems used by the practice, helping to create a smoother and more efficient experience for patients.

One of the benefits of this change is that our telephone assistant, Emma AI, can once again complete online request forms during patient interactions when appropriate. This helps reduce the need for patients to complete additional forms themselves after making contact with the practice.

Don't have internet access? We can help!

We understand that not everyone has easy access to the internet or feels confident using online services.

To support patients, we have installed Samsung tablets in our reception area that can be used to access the new system and submit requests directly to the practice.

Our reception team is also available to help. They will be happy to:

  • Show you how to use SystmConnect
  • Help you complete and submit a form
  • Submit a form on your behalf if required

We are committed to ensuring that all patients can access our services, regardless of their level of digital confidence.

Getting started

Information about how to access and use the new system is available on our website. We encourage patients to review the guidance before submitting a request to help ensure their enquiry reaches the right team as quickly as possible.

You will be able to access the new system on our Contact Us Online page from Friday, 30th October 2026.

Thank you

Thank you for your continued support and feedback as we work to improve our services. Our goal is to make it easier for patients to access the help and care they need, while ensuring our systems remain efficient, accessible, and patient focused.
